DIVISION 1 WEST - GOWERTON RFC V CRYMYCH RFC
We welcome Crymych RFC to Gowerton on Saturday, the two clubs last played in the leagues together about ten years ago in Division 4 West. Unfortunately the “Starch” were relegated that season to division 5. Through hard work we have eventually risen through the lower leagues and we are delighted to meet then in Division 1 West.
The Starch have won their last two games in the league; a fine win over Kidwelly and a last minute success at Loughor. These recent wins have shown that we have what it takes to compete in Division 1 and confirms the hard work that players and coaches are putting in every week. Crymych have the same number of points as us so looks like a tight game, fingers crossed for a Starch win tomorrow #SOTM
We welcome Mr. Nigel Owens to the Athletic Ground. A week ago as everyone will no doubt recall, Nigel refereed the RWC final so well at Twickenham. His appointment for today’s game is a wonderful opportunity for the players of both sides to witness the finest in the world in action.
We hope for a large crowd with the world’s number one referee & other distinguished guests present, we’ll all enjoy an afternoon of excellent community rugby. And it will all be covered by Rick O Shea & his Scrum V team.
