Gowerton blown away by Loughor

It was a performance as grim as the conditions in which they were played. But the conditions cannot be an excuse as the visitors played some sublime rugby, moving the ball quckly and cleanly between the hands throughout the hands in a devastating display of running rugby.

The 46-5 scoreline was justified and would have been worse had it not been for the Under 13's proving some additional players to make up the numbers. Thank you to them all.

Outmuscled upfront and too much pace outwide, Loughor were superior in every department. But the performance was not without some positives - Alex J had an excellent, and busy, game at the back, making some try saving tackles as well as providing some semblance of an attacking threat. The returning Cameron J offering a glimpse of his rampaging best and Rhys D, back from injury who made his presence felt in midfield and scoring the boys lone try before coming off. Jac S and Josh B also shone briefly in difficuly circumstances.

The boys kept playing, and finished with Loughor on the backfoot.

A lack of belief, lack of focus or the opposition just too good ? Difficult to tell but with too many players sub par there is signficant room for improvement as the boys look at another big game next week.
